Our story has been shaped by real-life challenges, including a kidney transplant journey that changed everything. We’ve experienced firsthand the emotional, physical, and financial weight that families can carry during life’s most difficult moments.

Why We Give Back

Our story is deeply personal - and it’s the reason giving back is at the core of everything we do.

In 2020, Matt’s life took an unexpected turn when he went into complete kidney failure caused by a rare autoimmune disease. What followed was one of the most challenging seasons our families have ever faced.

In the middle of that uncertainty, something incredible happened.

Carissa’s husband, Dave, stepped forward and chose to get tested to be a donor. By the grace of God, he was a perfect match. In September of 2020, Dave donated his kidney to Matt - giving him a second chance at life.

That moment reshaped our perspective, strengthened our faith, and deepened our belief in showing up for others when it matters most.

Those same principles that carried us through that season are the foundation of our team today and the reason we are so passionate about giving back to our community.

To us, real estate has never just been about buying or selling homes. It’s about people, relationships, and about building a community where no one has to go through life’s hardest moments alone.

Giving back isn’t just something we do - it’s who we are.

This year, we’re honored to partner with Beards for Brothers, an organization dedicated to to serving and protecting our first responders and their immediate families fighting cancer or life threatening illness in Lancaster County, PA, by raising money to support them financially and emotionally

This mission is especially close to our hearts.

Through this partnership, a portion of every closing we complete in 2026 is going directly toward helping families who are navigating some of the hardest moments of their lives - providing support, relief, and hope when they need it most.

Because no family should have to go through it alone.

Beards For Brothers

Beards for Brothers (BFB) is committed to raising money to support first responders and their immediate families in their fight against cancer. BFB recognizes the financial and emotional stress this fight causes, and the urgency of our cause.

The collective hope is that every first responder in Lancaster County will join in, as no one in this family should face the battle alone. BFB understands not every responder can grow a beard, but together, we can make a difference.

BFB appreciates the uniqueness of the citizens and businesses of Lancaster County. The organization has also donated money to other local nonprofits, such as A Week Away Foundation. BFB wants to continue donating a percentage back to the citizens it swore to serve and protect. Within the next few years, BFB hopes to expand to first responders and citizens from other surrounding counties.
